4 Arrested For Attempting To Break Into Dr Dre’s House


Four men were arrested after allegedly attempting to break into the home of hospitalized rapper and producer, Dr Dre.

The failed attempt happened on Tuesday night, when the group of men stepped onto the rap legend’s Brentwood residence.

The intruders had set off infrared cameras, alerting security who confronted them before they could get to the main structure.

Los Angeles law enforcement arrived at the scene and were involved in a “short chase” before the intruders were caught and arrested.

“Several individuals were hiking over a hill attempting to enter a property,” an LAPD spokesperson said.

“They were confronted by six private security [officers] and they fled the location. As officers attempted to pull the vehicle over a short pursuit ensued.”

While nothing is thought to have been taken in the break-in attempt, authorities found saws and crowbars in the suspects’ vehicle.

Authorities initially believed that the intruders originally targeted the home of Vice President-elect Kamala Harris, but later on determined that it was specifically aimed at the hospitalized star.

Dr Dre remains in stable condition and currently recovering at the ICU at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after suffering from aneurysm on Monday.

“I’m doing great and getting excellent care from my medical team. I will be out of the hospital and back home soon,” he wrote on Instagram.

Doctors have not yet identified the cause of the rapper’s aneurysm.

Born Andre Romelle Young, Dr Dre teamed up with Eazy-E, Ice Cube, the Arabian Prince, Yella, MC Ren and the D.O.C to form the N.W.A. in the ‘80s, beginning a  new genre in hip-hop known as ‘gangsta rap’.

They became the center of controversy that lead to the FBI sending a warning letter to their record label about their song “Fuck tha Police.”
