The little boy, named Tobias Weller, could only walk 50 meters in a day with a frame. Despite that, when he heard about WWII veteran Colonel Tom Moore raised money, over $40 million for the U.K.’s National Health Service by walking 40 kilometers in his backyard garden.
Then he decided he wants to do something like this as well, to help his local school and hospital.

Tobias has now completed a 42 km marathon and raised over $50k in the procedure.

The boy, from Sheffield, England, and his mother spoke about this admirable achievement. The proud mother said that Captain Tom and Tobias are really similar; they both use a walker, they both did the same walk every day and wanting to build it up.

Tobias said he loves it when he walks up and down on his street every day because the neighbors come out and cheer for him; some of them even say,“We salute you, Tobias!”
The boy also mentioned that he walks every day despite the weather is good or bad, although it’s mostly sunny. But he also walked through rain and gale-force winds.

Tobias genuinely enjoys going to the children’s hospital for a sleepover because the nurses ensure that the whole experience is as positive as possible.

He goes to school in Sheffield, the Paces School. His mother said that they are very lucky because the school is focusing on independence, developing movement, function, and personality. This special school challenges children on a daily basis to strive to reach their full potential.

Tobias’s mother added that without this school, Tobias would not have made nearly as much progress as he has done and continues to do so.

Furthermore, Tobias wants to raise money for a new campaign, ‘A New Home for Paces,’ to provide a new school with the facilities that he and his friends require.
