On Wednesday, Actor Kevin Spacey was sued by Star Trek actor Anthony Rapp, and another anonymous person, they accused him of sexual assault in the 1980s when both of them were minor.
The civil lawsuit against Kevin Spacey was filed on Wednesday in the New York Supreme court in Manhattan.
Actor Anthony Rapp claimed that in 1986 when he was 14-year-old, actor Kevin Spacey climbed on top of him and performed sexual acts.
Rapp made his first allegation in 2017 in a Buzzfeed article against the actor that he made inappropriate sexual advances towards him when he met Mr. Spacey at the party in his apartment. According to the lawsuit, Mr. Spacey grabbed Mr. Rapp’s buttocks, lifted him onto a bed, and lay on top of him.
In response, Mr. Spacey said that he doesn’t recall any encounter with Anthony Rapp, but if he really behaved like that then he apologize for his inappropriate drunken behavior.
The lawsuit that filed in New York Supreme Court, includes new allegations from the anonymous person who said that he was sexually assaulted by Mr. Spacey when he met him in an acting class in Westchester County in 1986. The lawsuit said that Mr. Spacey invited him to his apartment, and engaged in sexual acts despite resisting and saying no to him.
Jennifer L. Keller, the lawyer of Mr. Spacey, has denied making any comments about the new allegations that came forward.
Mr. Spacey was charged with sexual misconduct two years ago, when an 18-year-old man accused Mr. Spacey of groping him in a restaurant in 2016, but later the charges were dropped when Mr. Spacey’s lawyer warned him that he can be charged with the felony if he deletes the footage from his phone.
Kevin Spacey is an American actor, producer, and singer, but known exclusively for his acting career. He won an Oscar for his role in “The Usual Suspects” in 1996, and a second Oscar in 2000 for “American Beauty.” His well-known character was Frank Underwood a manipulative politician in the Netflix series “House of Cards.” But he was cut out of the final season after the sexual allegation against him began to surface.
