The White House has called the Adam Toledo shooting a chilling reminder of how the police department continues to use excessive force.
Local media outlets spoke about how the White House feels that cops ‘go too often with the use of unnecessary force.’ The news comes after chilling and graphic bodycam footage displayed the teenager as unarmed. Moreover, the exact moment was captured where the young 13-year-old boy was seen with both hands in the air, just moments before a cop fatally shot him.
Delivering the message from the White House recently, Jen Psaki who is the press secretary mentioned to reporters how law enforcement agencies were using force on a more frequent basis and that was resulting in the death of plenty of Black as well as Brown Americans.

Toledo was a 7th grader from Chicago who was shot dead last month. Moreover, the police had been in pursuit for both Toledo as well as his 21-year-old accomplice Ruben Romain, right after reports broke the air regarding gunshots in the vicinity, especially the Little Village district of the city.
The shocking footage showed a single bullet hit Toledo’s chest, killing him in a second, just moments before he turned around and faced the cops. He was clearly unarmed and his hands were up in the air too.
When Psaki was questioned regarding whether or not President Biden had seen the bodycam footage too, she replied how she had no clue if he did or did not. However, she did go on to add how he strongly felt that the country needs reform when it comes to the Police Department.
