Audi Drops ‘Insensitive’ Ad Featuring Girl Leaning On Luxe Vehicle While Eating A Banana


German automaker, Audi, released a public apology statement for a recent advert that was released on Twitter last Sunday.

The image features a young child eating a banana while standing in front of one of the most premium cars.

Furthermore, the company went on to admit how it was ‘insensitive’ for them to post such an advert while promising never to use that particular image again.

The internationally acclaimed automaker posted the advertisement for their new Audi RS4. Alongside the image, there was a caption that said, ‘Let’s make your heartbeat faster-with every second.” The picture quickly gained attention from Twitter users around the globe, sending shockwaves from all directions.

The image received criticism from every imaginable aspect, with social media brigades pouring in their thoughts and opinions in all directions. Many pointed out a major lapse on the brand’s part, in terms of irresponsible behavior.

On the other hand, it was shocking to see how such a huge name from the world of automakers could possibly place a child in a standing position, right in front of a premium car’s grill.

Likewise, others explained how she was present in a dangerous position that could possibly inflict serious harm.

One person went as far as commenting: ‘Nice, it’s interesting how you can show your cars easily killing young children. You can’t even view them out of the car.”

Another viewer exclaimed how the advert was plain ‘tasteless.’ They went on to explain how dangerous it is to put a young child in front of the car’s grille, that’s hardly visible from a driver’s aspect.
