Beach Balcony Collapses On Sand & Rocks After Young Party Goers Violated Guest Accommodation Guidelines


In Malibu, a beach house balcony collapses onto the sand and rocks after party-goers violated guest accommodation guidelines, sending them plunging 15-feet below.

According to local reports, the collapse injured nearly a dozen of young people with two of them suffered critical injuries.

KABC reported that the LA County Fire Department responded to the incident along the Pacific Coast Highway shortly after 5 p.m.

According to witnesses, that they had gathered for a birthday party when the freak accident happened, KABC reported.

“There were probably like 10 people on the back deck and we heard a crack and I literally saw all of my best friends and my girlfriend fall 15 feet to the rocks,” a man witness told the news outlet. “It was a freak accident. I don’t know how that happens, the deck literally just gave out.”

Meanwhile, the officials have confirmed that a total of nine people were evaluated for injuries, including four who were taken to the hospital for treatment.

The Malibu house is being rented out when the terrifying accident happened. According to the homeowner, she discovered from the neighbors that there were about 30 people at the beach house.

The residence can only accommodate six people, but there are far more than the allowed guests who partied on the deck.

The owner said she tirelessly spent three hours trying to get the young party-goers to leave before the crowded balcony collapsed.  In addition to the deck collapse, the owner confirmed that her property had been vandalized.

LA Country fire officials said there were more than 15 people on the balcony when it collapsed. They now declared the house uninhabitable.

Not only the youngsters violated the guest accommodation guidelines, but they allegedly vandalized the beach house too.
