Singer Barbra Streisand Gifts Disney Stock To George Floyd’s Six-Year-Old Daughter Gianna


Barbra Streisand has been doing her part to help the young daughter of George Floyd during this tough period of her life.

The famous singer gave shares of Disney stock to 6-year-old Gianna.

Gianna Floyd, George Floyd’s daughter, maybe Disney ‘s youngest shareholder, a black man who was assassinated by police after an arrest in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

She can be seen holding what is presumably a Disney shares certificate in an Instagram posting on an account for the 6-year-old.

“Thank you @barbrastreisand for my package, thanks to you, I’m now a Disney Stockholder,” the caption explained gleefully.

The pictures show a singer’s letter, along with the Disney stock certificates and two Streisand’s albums, My Name Is Barbra and Color Me Barbra.

Streisand, 78, donated two of her albums to the kid. Disney stock was going for $115 per share as of Friday evening. How many shares Streisand had bought for Gianna is unclear.

Texas Southern University in Houston has announced that when Gianna reaches college, if she wants to attend, the school will award her full scholarship.

It is the new surprise to be given to the young daughter of Floyd since he was murdered by Minneapolis, Minnesota police on May 25. Subsequently, Floyd ‘s death sparked weeks of protests against police brutality and systemic racism that begin in towns across the nation.

On the day of Floyd’s funeral in Houston, the school announced the decision, and said in a Facebook post that the gesture “honors George Floyd’s memory on the day he is laid to eternal rest.”

“Mr. Floyd was a lifetime Third Ward citizen and an admired graduate of Jack Yates High School. The Board, in conjunction with the TSU Foundation Board, approved a fund to grant Floyd’s beloved daughter Gianna full scholarship,” the school said in the social media post.

TSU will “prepare a place” for Gianna “if she wishes to go to college.”

In an interview with Good Morning America on June 3, Gianna said she already knows how, when she gets older, she wants to help people.

“As I grow up I know what I want to be,” Gianna said during her GMA interview. “A doctor and I can take care of the people.”
