President Biden Raises Eyebrows After Calling Golf Champion Hideki Matsuyama ‘Japanese Boy’


President Joe Biden made plenty of heads turn recently after he referred to the Master’s Winner Hideki Matsuyama as the ‘Japanese Boy’.

The foot in the mouth sort of incident took place on Friday which many people claim has to be an incredibly awkward moment to witness. Biden gave out the uniquely bizarre complement to the Master’s golf champion while attending a recent press conference that took place at the Rose Garden.

Moreover, what really had many people questioning the president is how he chose to make the statement despite the fact that Japan’s prime minister was in attendance too.

29-year-old Hideki Matsuyama recently won the title for the Master’s Tournament that ended on Sunday. The event reportedly took place at Georgia’s Augusta National Golf Club recently.

President Joe Biden began his speech by exclaiming, “Yoshi, I am sure you are super proud of your efforts and so are the people of Japan for the win. And you have a Japanese boy that is coming over here and guess what… He is the winner of the Masters. Yes, he won the Masters and the green jacket too,” Biden boldly stated while standing at the Rose Garden.
