President Joe Biden received plenty of remarks after tweeting about his relaxing ‘working from home’ experience recently.

The news came when the country’s capital received barely 2inches of snow dusting, as compared to the heavy snowfall that took place in New York recently. And that’s when the US president opted to work from home, which is of course the White House, canceling out some major events on his planned agenda for the day. This particularly includes a speech.

Joe Biden instead chose to host around 10 Republican representative senators, where he hoped to discuss the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and relief plans involved. This meant canceling his plans to deliver a speech at the US State Department, which was just a few blocks away from him.

Right after 10 pm on Sunday, the president also tweeted a daytime click where he was pictured outside the West Wing, dusted in snow. Biden captioned the image by mentioning how grateful he was for the short commute that took place on days like these. But just hours later, a representative from the White House mentioned to another pool reporter how the President’s State Department visit was only off the cards due to snow.

The official then released a statement mentioning how the president looks forward to his visit, later on during the week. And that’s when he believes the agency’s diplomats, as well as staff members, would be easily and safely available to commute.

While the president’s snowy themed tweet did win the hearts of many supporters who couldn’t hold back their applause, critics were quick to call him out. So many questioned why the new leader would allow the snowy weather to impact his daily routine in the office.

One user wrote how it was nice to see Presidents tweeting dad jokes all over again, while another questioned why Biden was behaving like he was going for a 9 to 5 job.

While the majority of the roadways were clear of snow in DC on Sunday night, some sidewalks and a few side streets remained on the slippery side of things. In addition, there was a greater chance of snow in the state capital on Monday too but the offices were decided to remain open.
