Just last week, the President spoke about pledging to cut back upon the country’s carbon emissions by nearly 50 to 52%, with targets being reached by 2030 hopefully. Moreover, that was almost double the promise that former US president Barack Obama made which comprised of causing a reduction of carbon emissions by nearly 28% by the year 2025.

The President continued explaining how it is both a moral as well as an economic imperative to make such considerations before it is too late.

Just early this past week, sources revealed how the president’s overall plan entailed a reduction in the intake of meat, which clearly infuriated the Republican party in more ways than one.

With that being said, it is still not confirmed whether or not the actual plan would move forward and be a part of the president’s initiative. But at the same time, experts are having their say and they firmly believe that investigations into the matter are necessary.

One expert who goes by the name of Brent Kim from John Hopkins Center explained how meat consumption is a big contributor to carbon emissions around the world. Therefore, that means the country needs to cut back on eating meat if they actually plan on meeting the president’s target. At the same time, he also pointed out the country also needs to keep its dairy intake in check and balance too.
