Online Bike Seller From Louisiana Fatally Shot & Killed During Meetup With Potential Buyer


A bike seller from Louisiana was fatally shot and killed recently when he met his potential buyer.

The dirt bike seller started his online business in the hopes of making an earning but little did he know about the grave dangers attached.

Authorities confirmed how 29-year-old Joesph Vinder left his residence from New Orleans around 10 in the morning on a Sunday and that was so he could meet a potential buyer that was interested in his product. Police spoke about how he left for the town of Harvey to meet Jalen Harvey.

This was where he hoped to finalize the business deal of selling off his bike, as reported by Jefferson Parish Sheriff.

Moreover, “Mr. Vindel never got back from that particular transaction because the suspect fatally shot him to death, mentioned the sheriff.

Vindel went as far as listing his bike for a whopping $2700 on the Facebook Marketplace. Everything seemed to be doing well when all of a sudden, news broke out about his death.

Vindel’s family reported to the cops when his phone was unavailable for contact. And nobody had heard of him for hours. In the same way, the detective found texts between him as well as Harvey, which spoke about the bike sale, reported Lopinto.

In the same way, the text messages also revealed some clues that led the police officers to Harvey’s apartment complex. And that’s when they found Vindel’s dirk bike parked at Harvey’s patio.

During the entire search operation, law enforcement officers came in close contact with 20-year-old Harvey who admitted to shooting at Vindel several times from his car.

On that note, he went as far as claiming how he drove the vehicle and then abandoned it with Vindel’s body in the back seat. Next, Harvey went on driving the dirt bike towards the apartment complex.

Police arrested Harvey, who now faces first-degree murder charges.
