CCTV surveillance footage caught a heartless binman kicking away at a young child’s snowman recently.
According to reports, the man booted down the child’s beautifully created snowman by kicking it brutally in the head, until it fell down and crumbled into pieces. In addition, the man refused to apologize for his crude behavior, despite being called out by the child’s parents.
Instead, he branded the destructed snowman as ‘snowflakes.’ But that was just the start of his bizarre behavior.
In what is being called a rambling post on Facebook, the binman was identified as a worker serving the Herefordshire Council. Defending his actions by stating that the incident was somehow related to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, he gave some pretty lame excuses for carrying out the act too.
Local news outlets mentioned how he went on boldly admitting that he kicked the snowman until it fell to the ground. However, he also added how it didn’t make any difference to him and shouldn’t to others too as snowmen don’t have feelings.
“Yes, the person who made this has young feelings. But let’s look at the bigger picture going on in the world, which is COVID-19,” he exclaimed in fury.
And that’s when his bizarre rants and talks about the Coronavirus pandemic began. “People are dropping dead by the second due to the virus. Think about it like that. A snowman would not be there tomorrow, will there be any feelings then?” he questioned with a big NO at the end.
“I am well aware that people made this snowman but it is surely going to melt soon and anyhow.” The binman also kept on talking about how he didn’t know why the parents were complaining in the first place and why his actions made any difference to them.
But you can’t ignore the floods of tears coming out of 3-year-old Taylor’s eyes. It was almost as if the young child felt dumbfounded at the smirking collector’s actions, just like his parents. He had created the giant 7-foot tall creation, right outside his home with his sister. And that’s when the garbage collector spotted it, deciding to knock it down in undone fashion.
The real sad part is when Joseph’s mum claimed how the little boy enjoyed watching the binman from the window daily. He even waved at him while he used to do his daily duties. But little did he know that he would do something like this.
