To avoid any kind of misunderstanding leading to disturbing events amidst the protest chaos, Cash made his intention clear to the cops. In a short video, the young man can be seen saying ‘ I know you guys must be thirsty’.

He further jokes around on a lighter note as he states ‘I was not the one yelling at you guys. I am here only to spread a message and I know you guys are here only doing your job. I am not mad at you’.

The heartwarming gesture of this kind young man has taken the internet by swarm as the public, at the protest and at home, are developing mixed emotions about the movement in their hearts.

People either back the movement and called the white police officer’s act as racist or they do not reckon it as racism or discrimination rather another incident of police brutality. It seems like #BlackLivesMatter is polarizing the already broken-hearted nation owing to COVID-19.

In the same video circulating on Twitter, Cash, after approaching the cops, then opens the bottles’ pack and continues saying we came to protest peacefully and this is what I am trying to show you. One of the officers answered his kind gesture with a thank you note as he said ‘we appreciate it’. It all happened when the cops were guarding the Target store.

Alexander Cash spoke his heart out as he said we understand not all cops are bad but a lot of powerful people have taken advantage of their power and done wrong things. This is what the #BlackLivesMatter movement is about, to speak against the discrimination and abuse of power.
