It is reported that Diaz was live-streaming the march at the time of the accident but had to abruptly end it after hearing the people shouting “car!” and the sound of screeching tires. The spectators of the incident believed that it wasn’t the accident as the driver didn’t even pull brakes or tried to stop.

One of the eyewitnesses, Aaron, said: “I don’t know what happened, but it didn’t seem like an accident at all. He didn’t hit his brakes, he didn’t stop.”
