Cops in New York City arrested a 15-year-old assailant in connection with the recent BMW bicycle gang attack.
The wild incident took place on Tuesday when dozens of bicycle riders carried out a horrifying attack on a BMW driver. Moreover, they vandalized his vehicle in broad daylight, right in the center of Manhattan.
Police confirmed how the 15-year-old teen hails from Queens but they failed to reveal his identity since he’s a minor. However, they did mention how he is getting charged as a juvenile for being a part of an attack on Max Torgovnick’s luxe ride.
Law enforcement officers described the shocking act of terror that involved around 25 bikers. Amongst those 25, 6 damaged Mr. Torgovnick’s vehicle. Currently, officers are still on the lookout for another assailant teen, linked with the same incident, sources added.
Meanwhile. the vandalized BMW’s driver informed media sources how he and his mom, who is in her 70s, had recently dropped off a donation for a non-profit organization. They were on their way to Mr. Torgovnick’s father’s office when the group of miscreants crossed their path.
He went on describing how the group of 50 or so bikers surrounded their vehicle, between Manhattan’s Fifth Avenue and the 21st street. Some went on pounding his vehicle with their fists while others used their feet. In the same way, another smashed his bike on to the luxury car’s windshield.
Meanwhile, one of the bikers also ran against the vehicle, where he vaulted over the hood’s top too. All of these forceful actions caused the BMW’s windshield to crack, caving in an inward direction.
Mr. Torgovnick recalls the horrors of the event, claiming how he was so afraid at one point. He feared that the attackers would break the car’s window too, reaching in and grabbing him and his mother. Also, he explained how his mother kept dialing 911 while frantically yelling out in fear.
