He was seen to be getting better day after day under intensive care. Since his health kept on improving significantly, he has been allowed to go home and rest further.

His health has improved to an extent that he doesn’t need to be hospitalized anymore but he hasn’t fully recovered, to be concise. He needs rest until he gets as fit as a fiddle. This is why he hasn’t been sent to 10 Downing street. In fact, he has been dispatched to his private residence.

The doctors are completely aware of how long a patient takes to completely come out of an illness like this. Hence, they have not recommended him to get behind the desk at No 10. They have, in fact, suggested the prime minister stay out of action for a few more days, or else, they fear that the progress he made till date will be lost.

Mr. Raab will continue to deputize Boris Johnson as long as he’s away from No.10. For a few more days, Dominic Raab will be the executive-in-chief to run all the prime ministerial affairs. The government staff will be following his orders, and all the necessary steps will be taken under his supervision.

Good thing is, Boris Johnson didn’t require to be ventilated even when he was under intensive care. It leaves a hope that his condition hasn’t been as serious as some nonofficial sources speculated.
