4-Y.O Boy Killed After Plane Crash In Florida Neighbourhood Has Been Identified


The 4-year-old boy that died after a deadly plane crash in Florida has been identified as Taylor Bishop.

In Pembroke Pines, Florida, Taylor was one of three people killed when a small aircraft fell from the sky and directly hit an SUV where he and his mother, Megan Bishop are.

The two people in the plane were both killed and have not yet been identified.

NBC Miami reported that Taylor and Megan were trapped in the SUV after the crash. They were extricated and rushed to the hospital and both in critical condition.

The 4-year-old tragically died at the hospital hours after the crash while Megan was sent home later.

The plane is a single-engine Beechcraft Bonanza, which crashed shortly after takeoff from the North Perry Airport. The airport borders in the neighborhood are where Taylor and his single mother Meghan lived.

Megan worked as a teacher’s assistant at Hollywood Hills Elementary School and is located close to her house and the crash site.

In a tribute, the Broward County School Board held its regular meeting the night of the crash and released a statement to pay tribute to Taylor.

“It’s with great sadness that we ask for your prayers this morning. One of our very special and active ESP teachers from Hollywood Hills Elementary was involved in an accident with an airplane in Pembroke Pines.”

“It fell on her car. Megan Bishop, also known as Kiki, was in the car with her son Taylor. This little guy lit up the room, the most amazing comments to crack you up.”

“Kiki was discharged last night, that was [Monday] night, and we really would like to remember her son who, unfortunately, passed away through this accident.”

“At this time, we would also like to remember her mother and sister who are also part of the Broward County school system in this moment of great tragedy.”

A loved one told the South Florida Sun-Sentinel that Taylor will be remembered for his joy.

“He was just a very happy little man,” the loved one said.

Friends and family members set up a GoFundMe page for Taylor’s funeral and other expenses.

“As a community, we join together to help this family in their time of need as we all mourn the passing of Taylor Bishop. 100% of the funds gathered will be donated directly to the family of Taylor Bishop for all and any expenses which may arise with incidents such as these. Our goal is to raise $15,000-$20,000 for a proper and beautiful burial, as Taylor deserves,” the page reads.
