Niki Dowell, 42, from Slidell, Louisiana, arranged the surprise reunion for her son, Patrick, after her parents, Tom and Fran Cearley, got their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine on March 2, Storyful reported

The Cearleys moved to Florida eight months ago amid the pandemic, and their grandson had never gone this long without seeing them.

In the video, Patrick was in a parking lot right before his basketball came when his mother told him that there was ‘somebody special’ here to see him.

Grandmother Fran couldn’t stop kissing the top of her grandson’s head as all three of them held onto each other.

Nikki said that Patrick was worried he had done something wrong when she called him out to the parking lot for the surprise reunion.

“He came out and said, “Am I in trouble?” Nikki explained.

“Oh, yeah, you’re in big trouble,” Fran jokingly said, affectionately brushing the hair off of her grandson’s forehead.
