Two 16-Year-Old Boys Were Stabbed In The Chest By A Knifeman


Two 16-year-old teenagers were brutally stabbed by an unknown offender on Saturday night.

Police are searching for a knifeman who stabbed two teenagers in Tilehurst, Berkshire at around 11:30 on Saturday night. The suspect fled from the scene before the arrival of police and emergency services.

Police received the call from South Central Ambulance Service at around 11:29 on Saturday evening to report that two 16-year-old teenagers were stabbed by an unknown offender. No arrests have been made so far and detectives have cordoned off the area.

One teenager suffered a stab wound to his chest, whereas the other boy suffered various injuries to his chest and shoulder. Both boys were taken to the hospital and according to the doctors, both of the boys are safe as their injuries were not life-threatening.

A spokesman for Thames Valley Police said that they are at the crime scene and treating the incident as attempted murder.

Detective Chief Inspector Mike Hall said that we are at the very early stages of the investigation. He said that in the initial investigations they have identified the offender who was running away from the scene with the knife in his hand, in the direction of the Cotswold Play Park with a group of other males.

He also mentioned that he is aware of the fact that this incident has caused so many concerns in the local community and they will investigate it as an utmost priority.

‘You will notice an increased police presence in the area while our inquiries continue. The carrying and using knives is completely unacceptable, and we will robustly pursue those responsible for this incident and seek to bring them to justice.’ said the Detective Chief Inspector Mike Hall

According to the police the suspect was wearing dark clothes and a black face mask over his face. The suspect has not been identified yet, but the police are conducting inquiries and reviewing surveillance footage.

DCI Hall has also urged the public that whoever has the CCTV footage or camera phone footage, contact the police authorities and help them find the suspect instead of sharing on social media.
