A four-year-old boy has come out strong after suffering from giant facial cysts that were so big, they hindered his everyday life activities.
But now, Alex Grabowski is finally able to take his very first steps at the age of 4, after going through multiple surgeries to have the grapefruit-sized cysts removed. Known in medical terms as cystic hygromas, the giant cysts had limited his life to such a grave extent, it really started taking a toll on his breathing, speech, feeding, as well as walking.

Reports confirmed how the little champ showed utmost bravery, going through a surgical procedure that lasted for several hours at the Great Ormond Street Hospital.
But in the end, his hard struggle and great endurance paid off as he was finally able to take his baby steps recently.
The young child from Somerset had these limitations since birth, which are basically large fluid-filled sacs placed across his face as well as his airways. Therefore, they tragically affected his day-to-day activities, giving him a hard time leading a normal life.
The child also reportedly required a tracheostomy that would assist him in breathing while he needed a tube so that he could carry on with his feeding.
The Sunday Mirror recently spoke about how Alex was beaming with joy after he was finally able to take his first steps ever after doctors removed the giant grapefruit-sized cysts in London. Moreover, his mother has expressed her great joy at how her son is finally able to begin his life with some form of normalcy.
“My little boy has truly come a long way on his difficult journey. He is making progress in leaps and bounds,” she explained via a private interview.”
Alex’s scan was first discovered by doctors during his 20-week scan, confirmed reports. Therefore, during the first six months of his life, he was forced to undergo several medical tests as well as operations at Bristol’s Royal Hospital for Children.
