The accused anti-Trump rioter John Sullivan sold out exclusive video footage that he recorded on the 6th of January.
According to media reports, John Sullivan is a Utah man who claims he embedded himself alongside Trump’s supporters, just so he can record the violent storming of the Capitol building on January 6th. But now, more shocking reports mentioned how he sold those exclusive video recordings to CNN and NBC for a whopping $35,000 each.
The news comes as a part of new court papers which prosecutors released on Tuesday.point 188 | Moreover, they tried their level best to ban the Utah provocateur, who many define as an anti-Trump activist.point 280 |
They allege that he infiltrates massive protests, creates chaos, and then records the live footage via video.point 93 | And that is all by gaining access to social media.point 134 | 1
Meanwhile, the anti-Trump rioter claims that he is actually a journalist for his own website titled, Insurgence USA. His defense attorney made a number of recent filings of invoices that mentioned $35,000 for both CNN and NBC news each. These media giants reportedly paid for the exclusive rights to use his videos, mentioned reports.
However, Federal officials alleged through criminal complaints how Sullivan was participating in the deadly siege actively while encouraging other rioters to perform the attack.
On January 6th, throngs of active pro-Trump supporters barged in on the mega Capitol building in DC. The riots left 5 people dead while wounding dozens of others and creating panic and chaos during the Senate meeting too. During that whole time. Sullivan was also actively assisting the rioters.
One alleged affidavit goes as far as mentioning how he assisted one protester scale up a wall that led to the Capitol building’s entrance. After that, he entered through the Capitol via a window that was already smashed by another violent rioter.
While recording the exclusive footage when present inside the building, he allegedly claimed, “We gotta get this sh** burned.” He used other derogatory terms, calling the building ‘our house’ and how he needed to take it away from ‘mother f**kers.’
And just like that, he entered into the lobby where protesters faced off with law enforcement officials that guarded the doorway. Now, authorities are investigating his true identity with conflicting reports talking about who he really was and what his actual purpose was in the first place.
