The protestors ripped up the books, March 25 Mandate, because it didn’t allow nursing homes to turn away COVID-19 patients. Meanwhile, when news sources asked the governor regarding the delicate matter, he did mention how his administration could have handled the situation better.

‘Can anyone say that the virus mainly targets weak people and seniors, can we really keep them safe? Nobody can truly say that’ he exclaimed.

The governor believes that the main reason for the spread of the pandemic in nursing homes relates to asymptomatic workers as well as visitors. He also says that for nursing homes to be really safe from the virus, they might need a ‘hermetically sealed bubble.’
