Leaked database statistics from Chinese Military Establishments have caught many off guard, hinting at the possibility that Corona Cases may be more than facts publicly admit.

Officially, the country has stated 84,029 cases but new information from the Changsha’s National University of Defence Technology reveals a whole other story. A whopping turnaround situation of up to 640,000 virus cases has been suggested. This widespread skepticism over actual case count is leaving many to question the country’s lack of transparency and seriousness for the situation.

The data reported relates to over 230 cities, spread over the country. Every entry comprises both longitude and latitude, about a particular date from February to April. Locations covered include apartment compounds, supermarkets, hospitals, schools, railways stations, and restaurants too.

Another report claims that figures may be higher while others suggest lower statistics. Some reporters have claimed that actual data collection methods used by the university aren’t clear, despite them stating the use of great public resources for the task. Controversies also arise as to why data was solely collected on particular days and from particular locations.

All these inconsistencies may in turn mean that similar cases were counted twice on different occasions, leading to erroneous calculations. At the same time, the lack of personal details such as name and identity has made verification an almost impossible task.

Despite the many shortcomings, the fact that such a large scale database is present in the first place continues to add alarming suspicion over China’s honesty regarding the virus toll.
