Three Phoenix police officers were caught on their own bodycam saying some outrageous things while sitting in their patrol vehicle.
According to media reports, the officers were caught via bodycam footage disparaging a large group of BLM protesters in October last year. Now, the shocking footage comes to light as attorneys of the 15 protesters decided to use the footage to argue about how officers were actually politically motivated when carrying out those arrests.
Moreover, just hours after the video went public, Maricopa County’s Attorney Office made claims on how it planned on dismissing all of the charges, just so they could take a closer look at the evidence and review it.
While the actual identity of the Phoenix officers involved in the incident remains anonymous, the police department was still called out for the shocking behavior displayed by the cops. But that wasn’t all that raised eyebrows from the footage.
You can also clearly hear the officers use foul language in their bodycam video. Words such as ‘d**kheads, as*hole kids, and even liberal pieces of sh** were commonly heard. The whole time, the officers sat in the patrol car, with the incident taking place in the downtown Phoenix locality.
In one of the video clips, one officer boldly questions, “Why didn’t we just stomp on them when they were making attempts to leave?” On that note, another officer exclaims, “Gas them, I don’t give a sh** if we just gas them and let them run away like crazy.”
Just as the officers drove past another man on the street who told the cops to go home, another officer mentions, “liberal piece of sh**.” At the same time, you can hear the officers mumbling about how they weren’t okay with the idea of wearing bodycams as one mentioned how the act ‘brought the job down the drain.”
“We actually wish we could do the job right, like 10 to 15 years ago, but it will never come back,” exclaimed the angry officer.
With the video going viral, many prosecutors argued with the grand jury how the BLM protesters involved were actually very dangerous and a true part of the criminal street gang too.
