Michigan Couple Finally Welcomes A Baby Girl After Having Fourteen Boys In A Row


Kateri and Jay Schwandt, after three decades and fifteen tries, welcomed a baby girl to their family.

The married couple from Michigan has fourteen sons – Tyler, Zach, Drew, Brandon, Tommy, Vinny, Calvan, Gabe, Wesley, Charlie, Luke, Tucker, Francisco, and Finley.

Moreover, last week, their 15th child was born, a baby girl. Maggie Jayne was born, the 17th member of their family weighed 7 lbs., 8 oz. and was 20 inches long.

Jay Schwandt said that they were overjoyed and beyond excited to welcome Maggie Jayne to their family, reported the Detroit Free Press. Jay continued, this year has been memorable to them for so many reasons, but Maggie is the best and perfect present they could ever imagine.

Kateri and Jay Schwandt got married as high school freshmen in 1993. They are 43 years old now.

The family has been a hot topic of discussion in the media for years, whenever there’s a new addition to their family. They even have their own live streaming TV show named ‘14 Outdoorsmen’, which title they might need to reconsider because of the new addition.

The couple told the WOOD-TV in 2018 that they do not want to know the gender of their babies before they are born.

Jay Schwandt said that it’s kind of fun for the boys, and they enjoy it.

Their oldest son, Tyler Schwandt, who is 28 years old, said it might take a few years for his brothers to adapt to having a girl in their home, mostly in remembering to put the toilet seat down, Free Press reported.
