A statement was recently released by the US Justice Department recently, which confirmed how the two-count indictment would not hold the former cop responsible for the teen’s death in Minneapolis.point 286 |

Derek Chauvin was reportedly called over to the black teen’s home with one of his colleagues when the teen’s mum had reported how her own two children had carried out an assault over her.

Therefore, the police informed the teen how he was now under arrest while Chuavin stepped at that moment and struck the teen on multiple occasions using a torch, followed by putting him in a prone position.

The teen yelled out to his mum and the other officers for help and requested Chauvin to stop hurting him, mentioned the indictment.

One of the counts alleged him of holding the teen by the throat while striking him in the head using a flashlight without any form of legal justification. The second count includes how he held him with his knee on his neck, handcuffed, even though the teen was not resisting at all.
