Detective Riddle
A man went up to the police and confronted them with a statement. He explained to them that he came home from work to find his wife’s dead body, lying in front of him, in the middle of the parlor.
In addition, he talked about how his wife apparently found his gun from the insides of his desk. She then used it to shoot herself dead. However, the policeman that was listening to the tale knew instantly that the man was lying. How and why did he know?
Solution
The man entered the police station with an empty gun holster that was attached to his belt.point 197 | Hence that could mean two possible things.point 233 |
Either he was supposed to take the gun with him or he had the gun with him, all along.point 68 | Now, the former could not be the truth in this case because he clearly mentioned how he came home from work and saw his wife lying dead.point 178 | 1
Therefore, that leaves the latter as the truth. It clearly proves that the man actually was the culprit who shot his wife.
