It is meant to be the happiest day of your life when you wore that shiny and super pricey wedding ring, so imagine the horror of finding out your partner has duped you all this time!
When TikTok user Diamond Tester Kit, @jexif, decided to check out the authenticity of his school teachers’ engagement rings, the results were unexpectedly hilarious.
The TikTok account, which now has over 10 million Likes, shared a dozen short clips on the platform recording the findings.
In the videos, a student decided to approach a number of teachers at his school to see if their wedding, anniversary, or engagement rings — the diamond ones — are genuine. It turns out some of them are not.
The first video clip, which has had 5.7 million views, started the craze off, as the young man approached his teacher to conduct the test.
“…you’ve got a wedding ring, right?” the young man said.
“Yeah!” the teacher replies.
“Do you think it’s real?” he asked.
“Yeah, of course!”
Only for her teacher to scream out in dismay when she discovered her it isn’t.
In part four, the student ends up upsetting one teacher who discovered her ring is in fact a fake and gets right on to her husband to ask him about it.
Another video looks at a woman’s wedding ring, which is real, but her anniversary stones, unfortunately, aren’t. The mood suddenly changed from in-your-face success with the wedding diamond test, to utter shock when the three diamond anniversary piece doesn’t even register, leading the boy to suggest it may be glass.
The angry teacher called her husband and said: “We’re gonna talk when I get home!”
All of the young man’s TikTok videos have had almost 50 million views, with several going viral.
While the biggest hitters were ones that showed some men to have given their wives fake diamonds, there were, thankfully, a fair few that had been given the real deal.
