A Faithful Dog Spends Two Weeks Walking 62 Mile To Reach Her Owners


A loyal pet in China went beyond his comfort zone to find her master’s after they left her at a friend’s home temporarily.

The golden retriever was a year old and was named Ping An. Ping undergoes several injuries and weakness after she reaches her destination. She covered the distance of almost 62 miles and continued searching her owners for 14 days.

According to the newspaper report, the limping animal was found outside an office building. A group of employers rescued the dog and took her to the owners. The rescuers tracked the owners, and the pet and masters were reunited at Qidong.

The family who owned Ping said they were busy in the renovation of their home, so they gave Ping in the care of a close friend for a while. 

The family said, “We dropped our golden retriever at a  friend’s place in June after a long drive of 2 hours. The friend’s house is in Nantong, which is almost 100 kilometers away from our residence.”

Almost four months later, they came to know about the escape of their pet. The family was heartbroken to hear this news. They had no idea how loyal their canine was and had set herself on an arduous quest to find her home. 

The canine was spotted on Monday outside an office with injured paws and toes. The rescuers also said the dog looked so sad and depressed as if she had lost something important.

The rescuers took snaps of the sad, injured, and sickly dog, lying on the road with his head down. The rescuers shared the pictures and necessary details on WeChat, a popular Chinese messaging application.

The pictures reached the owners the same day they got uploaded. The family rushed to the given destination, and a heartwarming reunion of the loyal pet and her beloved masters can be observed in a video. 

Ping An and the owners kept hugging each other as two lost friends have met after so long. The family kept repeating that they’ll never let ping leave home now. They patted their golden retriever and appreciated her hard work to find them.
