When KaTarra got 120-pound Bentley, the canine already had anxiety issues due to frequent change of homes. While that may discourage other people from adopting him, it did not faze her and even made sure that the hound would feel safe and at peace.

She decided to move to a townhouse along with her army veteran boyfriend Nicholas Evenson to accommodate the dog’s grass-loving habits. During their walks in the park, Bentley would always play on the grass, giving the dog-loving KaTarra an idea on how to provide relief to her pet.

In an interview,  KaTarra told The Dodo:

“I ended up buying a townhouse so we could stay together.”

“It had an enclosed patio that I knew he would like. I couldn’t afford a house with a yard, but I thought I could turn the patio into a small yard with the right help.”

Enlisting the help of her boyfriend, they both worked to provide Bentley his own little grass-rolled park, something that they could not do in her old one-bedroom quarters.

‘My boyfriend Nick was able to get it all done in one day for under $400,’ she said, excited for their adopted dog to try his paws on the mini pasture. Bentley was then photographed lying peacefully on the soft grass.
