Meet 3-year-old Mao Mao, an adorable Golden Retriever who refuses to leave his owner’s bedside. According to reports, his owner means the world to him and that’s why he simply can’t leave his side.
Mao Mao’s owner is currently sick and has to wear a ventilator to sleep due to his high blood pressure condition. However, if you think his pet canine would leave him alone, you should surely rethink that notion.
He stays close by his side and watches over Mr. Shao, whenever he wears his ventilator during bedtime. Now, the touching footage is going viral with many praising the devoted pet for his incredible abilities.
Mr. Shao is from China’s central province called Henan. Currently, he suffers from conditions of high blood pressure as well as heart disease. But he is definitely not alone in his health struggle as his golden retriever makes it a point to note his presence.
He would literally stand by him, watching him go to bed, right after wearing his breathing device. At 56 years of age, doctors advised Mr. Shao to wear a ventilator to bed so as to prevent the chances of him suffering a cardiac arrest during his sleep.
Mr. Shao talked about the first time he wore the device and how surprised his pet became. Moreover, the little pup began running towards him in absolute worry. It was as if he was on guard by choice, keeping an eye out for his owner who means the world to him.
In the viral footage, the pup lies his head close to Mr. Shao’s chest. It appears as if he refuses to leave the man alone.
On that note, the owner kindly tells the dog not to worry and that he is alright. “You can go now,” as he tries to firmly push him away. However, the golden retriever refuses to move an inch, remaining still.
Mr. Shao confirmed to reporters how the dog seems to sense that something isn’t right, after time he wears his device. It’s like he knows that he is sick, hence acts as a watchdog to make sure he is okay. And for him, that is the most heartwarming feeling in the world.
