Oscar-nominated Star Elliot Page, Formerly Known As Ellen Page, Has Come Out As Transgender


The Oscar-nominated Ellen Page has come out as a transgender male and changed his name to Elliot after he publicly declared he was gay.

The 33-year-old Elliot has been married to a 26-year-old dancer Emma Portner, since 2018. On Tuesday morning, Elliot shared on Twitter an emotional message where he revealed that he is transgender. He tweeted, “Hi friends, I want to share with you that I am trans, my pronouns are he/they, and my name is Elliot.”

The Canadian actor received an Oscar nod for his role in the movie named Juno in 2018.point 186 | Elliot asked his fans for patience and also admitted that he is scared of the hate, the jokes, and the violence that he is going to face in the future.point 308 |

Elliot is currently filming the third season of the successful Netflix series called “The Umbrella Academy.”

Furthermore, Elliot Page also changed his user names on social media: on Twitter to @TheElliotPage; and on Instagram, he modified to @elliotpage. Also, he thanked his family for supporting him through his journey, although he did not share in his statement how or when he came out to his loved ones.

After Elliot tweeted his announcement, his wife, Emma, showed her support and wrote on Instagram, “I am so proud of @elliotpage. Trans, queer and non-binary people are a gift to this world.”
Moreover, she commented on Elliot’s tweet, where she wrote, “Love you so much, Elliot.”
