After A Month-Long Search, 1-Year-Old Evelyn Boswell’s Body Was Found at Her Family Home


Earlier this year, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has reported that the body of 15-month-old Evelyn Boswell has been found after more than a month of long searching, USA Today reported.

On March 7 this year, one of the Bureau’s agents said that the body of an approximately 1-year-old girl was found at the Boswell family home in Blountville, Tennessee. The body found had the “exact clothing” Evelyn was last seen wearing.

At the time of her disappearance, Evelyn was reported wearing a pink tracksuit, pink shoes, and a pink bow. In addition to the body, investigators also found toys, diapers, and children’s clothing at the scene, People reported.

Megan Boswell, Evelyn’s mother, was held on a $150,000 bond after being arrested for making false statements to the police about Evelyn’s whereabouts. Megan first reported her daughter missing on February 18, nearly two months after the girl was last seen.

After her arrest on February 25, Sullivan County Sheriff Jeff Cassidy told reporters, “Every time we talk to her, her story changes.point 117 | And I’m serious about that.point 142 | Every single time.point 158 | point 161 | 1

According to USA Today, shortly before DNA confirmed the body that was found was that of Evelyn’s, Special Agent Brian Fraley testified at a bond hearing for Megan that the body is that of a 1-1 ½-year-old girl that matches Evelyn’s description.

Special Agent Fraley further testified that Megan does not currently have a permanent residence or a job. She has also traveled within the past six months to Texas, as well as Bristol, Virginia.

After the hearing, Megan’s bond was increased from its initial $25,000 to its current $150,000.

Evelyn’s grandmother, Angela Boswell, as well as her friend William McCloud, were also arrested. However, they have not yet been charged in connection to the crime.

The Blountville community has set up a memorial honoring little Evelyn after the news broke of her body being found.
