Face Masks Cannot Protect You Against Coronavirus, Says WHO

Ever since the coronavirus surfaced, people have been more scared than alert.

People started believing in many legends instead of trying to get their head around the reality.

One of the most widely practiced myths is wearing a surgical mask when leaving the house for something unignorable. People prefer to not go out sans a mask, and this is what they perceive as a precautionary measure.

The masses across the world have a conjecture that a mask can stop the virus from entering their body via the mouth. The world health organization i.e WHO has busted this myth in the recent past saying that a mask is not obligatory for anyone and everyone.

The World Health Organization has further expounded that masks should be worn by the medical staff only. Wearing a mask has not been declared mandatory for the unaffected people by the WHO, and they are of a view that it can hardly resist the COVID-19.

The United Nations’ health body has dwelled on the mass consumption of surgical masks worldwide, and they have ended up presuming that a mask can’t cease the intrusion of COVID-19. They have urged the common people to not use face masks because it is going to be out-and-out fruitless.

To be concise, the masks are absolutely necessary for the healthcare staff and the patients themselves. Those who have been tested positive must not put others at risk, therefore, it is absolutely inevitable for them to don a mask. But, as for the rest of the population, they can totally avoid it.

Also, untested people who are found with symptoms like cough and flu should start consuming a mask instantly so that others have nothing to worry about. The healthy people, however, don’t need to arrange a mask for themselves.

This supposition of a mask stopping the virus’s entrance has no weight and cannot be corroborated. Therefore, people are being told over and over to not make it compulsory for themselves.
