Woman Busted For Faking Pregnancy To Smuggle Drugs In ‘Watermelon Belly’


Authorities in Sao Paulo arrested a woman for smuggling 2kg of cocaine inside a belly made from watermelon.

The bizarre incident took place in Brazil, where the woman acted like she was carrying a baby bump. However, the apparent ‘baby bump’ was nothing but a hollowed-out watermelon.

Sources confirmed how the woman acted like she was pregnant, boarding a bus that headed towards Rio de Janeiro. Meanwhile, the police ended her creative stunt by searching her. And that’s when they found out the actual truth of the matter.

The shocking twist really caught plenty of people off guard, including the state’s military police. Certainly, no one was expecting to find a belly made from a watermelon. In the same way, the horrifying discovery of 2 kilograms of cocaine, inside the vessel, was just too much to handle.

The drugs came in the form of 4 brick-sized portions of cocaine, described by authorities as ‘paste.’ Similarly, the officials confirmed how they immediately seized the giant bundle from the woman.

Police explained how the woman confessed to the crime. Likewise, the accused explained how she got the drugs from an unidentified source in Paraguay. Now, she planned on taking it with her to Rio.

After her arrest, police escorted the woman to a police station in Guara. More details regarding the investigation showed how the woman was supposed to receive 500 Brazilian reals for the delivery, which totals to around $100.
