It was all eyes on the 42-year-old who had shockingly filed a notice last week which stated his intention of pleading for the Fifth if he was called to testify during the Derek Chauvin trial.

Meanwhile, Judge Peter Cahill mentioned to Chauvin’s defense team to take out the time and draw up a list of potential questions that they wish to ask by Thursday, which is when he will be making a final decision regarding the matter, it was reported.

Other experts went on to boldly mention how his testimony could potentially lead him to a spot behind bars. If necessary, options are open of incriminating him in the drug dealing as well as potential three-degree murder charges too, mentioned his lawyer on Tuesday.

Morries was in his vehicle alongside Floyd and is also accused of being the one who gave Floyd the fake $20 note, which was the real reason why police were called in the first place.

On the other hand, Morries is already being held in prison since his arrest which took place on March 16, upon the charges of violating a No Contact Order, Domestic Assault by Strangulation, along with a felony warrant too. Therefore his bail was set at a staggering value of $10,000.

The trial for Derek Chauvin continues, who is the Minneapolis cop that kneeled upon George Floyd’s neck for nearly 9 minutes, leading to his death. He pleaded not guilty in the past, explaining how he did what he did because that was a part of his 19 years of training as a cop.
