Thousands Gathered In Minneapolis Streets To Protest The Death Of George Floyd


A massive disruption erupted in Minneapolis as thousands of people gathered to protest against George Floyd’s death on Tuesday night.

The footage of four white cops kneeling on a black man’s neck for several minutes went viral yesterday as he was seized by them. The 46-year old  George Floyd later expired because of suffocation as he kept saying ‘I cannot breath’.

This created chaos in Minneapolis as people took it to the road to express their rage and grief. The police, after not being able to handle the crowd, fired rubber bullets and used tear gas on the protesters.

The demonstrators were seen having placards and banners saying ‘I can’t breathe’. A lot of them drenching milk on their faces to lessen the severity of the tear gas.

Four white policemen are said to be involved in this scary incident, one of which is identified as Derek Chauvin. All of them have been fired from their jobs. The FBI and the state have stated about the initiation of an investigation on the matter as the people nationwide demand justice for this cruelty.

A lot of celebrities have expressed their anguish on George Floyd’s cruel death. 

George Floyd was known as a very calm and nice guy by the owner of the bar he worked at. He was security personnel at the bar. The owners said he was not the aggressive kind of person.

A bypasser, in 9-minute the video, can be heard pleading with the cops to leave Floyd as he was begging for his life. The cop did not lift his knee from Floyd’s neck until the ambulance came as he was having a medical emergency. The hospital later confirmed his death.

This disturbing video has caused an uproar in the entire nation and Americans are out crying to put all of the four cops on murder charges. The demonstrators were however met with more injustice as cops wearing masks and shields welcomed them with tear gas and rubber bullets. The public is taking this matter as a racial hatred for black people.
