Without a doubt, there are many people in the US who show unlimited motivation and determination to get on board with their vaccine. However, nothing beats this grandma who walked a whopping 6 miles, using sticks to reach her destination.

Fran Goldman claims she is an avid enthusiast when it comes to walking and therefore she didn’t let the long-distance for her vaccine center get in between her health. In fact, she was motivated as ever to get her shot and if that meant bearing dire weather conditions, then so be it.

“I wasn’t going to get a little bit of snow from hindering in between my vaccine,” she added. And that’s why she went full throttle to make her vaccine appointment.

Finally, things proved to run in her direction as she found the perfect spot at a local children’s hospital on the 14th of February. But with the good did come the bad. The weather forecast for that day predicted heavy heaps of snow with some clinics even postponing their operations till later on next week.

“When I woke up on Saturday, I saw a good 6 to 8 inches of snow on the floor. I had to keep on checking if the clinic was even open or not, but I heard nothing from them.”

Since cars wouldn’t be able to make it past the climb, she knew that driving through such massive piles of snow and an Uber was totally out of the question. Therefore, she put her snow boots on and charged ahead. And in the end, her struggle was worth it. She finally got her first dose of the vaccine after a peaceful morning walk.
