Local Farmer Charged With Raping, Killing, And Burying Missing Jogger In Arkansas


A local farmer from Arkansas was arrested on Monday after police make shocking claims about the heinous crime.

According to reports, the farmer was involved in abducting, raping, and then murdering the 25-year-old jogger. And just in case that wasn’t enough, he even buried her to disguise her whereabouts from the Police.

Sydney Sutherland went missing on Wednesday, while police officials found her dead body on Friday. And that’s when police officials arrested the accused farmer, Lewellyn. Moreover, authorities claim that the man confessed to the gruesome killing himself. Upon questioning, he confessed to his crime.

Sydney was a nurse who went missing during her regular jogging episodes. He failed to return to her residence, after a typical afternoon run. Officials located her dead body near her home in Newport, Arkansas.

Furthermore, police reports speculated how the 28-year-old man spotted Sutherland while driving down the highway. He doubled back, abducted her, and then chose to drove about 3 miles ahead. Upon reaching his farm, he raped her.

As the criminal arrived at the courthouse, he donned a bulletproof vest with an orange-hued prison jumpsuit. He silently walked towards Jackson County’s courthouse, just in time for his hearing. When questioned about the jogger’s disappearance, he blatantly confessed to her killing.

The officer in charge of the case, Mike McNeal, went on to reveal how the farmer forced her into his large pick-up truck. After raping and killing her, he buried her too.

Meanwhile, police officers carried out a search operation to look for the missing nurse. And after 3 days of vigorous search investigations, using helicopter crews and effective K-9 units, they finally located the body. The young woman enjoyed her fitness routine and took part in the exercise daily.

However, who knew her passion for fitness would cost her own life. According to reports, she was running between both Newport as well as Grubbs, on Wednesday afternoon.

During the hearing, Sutherland’s family stood silently, watching the gruesome criminal, face to face. And that’s where the judge ordered the accused to remain behind bars, without bond. The farmer’s next date for the court is October 1st.
