John Lafia Who Co-Penned The Iconic Horror Film Child’s Play Died After Taking Own Life


Do you remember the classic horror movie Child’s Play and its sequel? What an amazing and unforgettable film it was.

It had kept the audiences enchanted by its marvel for quite a long time. The iconic film was truly one of a kind and hence it looms over our memory to date.

Everyone associated with the film should be largely credited for bringing about this piece of splendor. The actors, the director, people working behind the camera, and almost everyone that played a significant role in the uproaring success of the film deserves praise.

Though, there are two people who make an exception to the rest of the cast and crew. They are the writers who penned down the amazing mystery and let the world sing praises for it for years to come. See, a film is always born in the imaginative faculty of the writer, then it gets nurtured in the hands of a director.

Child play’s one of the two writers has just died leaving everyone in shock. John Lafia was 63 years of age and he left the world in such a dejected manner that we are all almost numb.

John Lafia committed suicide and left the world he seemed to be extremely disgruntled with. God knows what misery he would have gone through that compelled him to take such a dangerous step. We can’t predict. We can’t judge. We can only pray for his soul to rest in peace and quiet, forever.

The world must have been an unhappy place for him that’s why he chose to advance to another world — a world that is perhaps void of swindles, materialism and abomination. He wasn’t at fault, we were at fault as we certainly failed him.

His co-writer and friend Doc Mancini is shell-shocked to know of his sudden demise. He says he has no words to express his grief over his friend’s unfortunate departure.
