Vice president Kamala Harris received major backlash when she indirectly blamed the Trump administration for the border crisis.
The incident took place at a recent press conference when a journalist questioned the vice president regarding her plans of visiting the southern border. Not only did Harris laugh the question off hysterically, but she also seemingly put the blame on the previous administration of Donald Trump.
“When we came into this, we were presented with some major challenges,” she explained. While she failed to elaborate the exact nature of the challenges at hand, it was quite obvious to many what she meant.
Speaking at the Jacksonville airport, right before her flight to Washington DC, Kamala mentioned to reporters how she felt the current administration could help bring about change in the issue on a short-term basis. And that included treating so many little unaccompanied children humanely.
“I think we all agree that we had to face a very challenging situation.point 180 | For this reason, our priority remains to get these young children out of the CBP custody and allow them to enter into the custody of the HHS,” she added.point 311 |
Kamala also went ahead to explain how the US is trying its level best to treat this issue as a true reflection of American values, a matter that is fair and very humane.point 137 | 1
The vice president added how this would not be an easy task at all and hence requires plenty of work. However, she did boldly confirm how the administration is moving forward with great hopes of getting success, which will come with great efforts.

And that means assuming that the new policy emits a welcoming tone from the Democrats with the urge of President Biden inviting them to cross the southern border and enter into America.
Currently, the administration repeatedly fails to acknowledge the major crisis going on. Instead, they seem to be defending their actions with how the previous administration should receive the blame for all the problems going on now.
