After four days of vote counting, Joe Biden won the presidential elections on November 7, 2020.
Biden gets 270 electoral votes and chooses Kamala Harris as his vice president. After claiming the victory, Ms. Harris and Bidden addressed the nation in Wilmington, Delaware.

During the historical speech, Harris paid tribute to all the Asian, Black, and White women who had made this day possible. Harris remembered her mother and said that she is sure that her mother wouldn’t have even dreamt of her daughter getting this role. Harris’ mother migrated to the US from India at the age of 18.

Harris thanked and acknowledged the goodness of President Joe Biden for showing his trust in her. It is not easy to break a taboo that is being followed for decades. She said that choosing an Asian woman as vice president is evidence of Biden’s progressive approach.
