Duchess Of Cambridge, Kate Middleton Leaves Waterstones Carrying A Huge Bag Of Books After Asking For Children’s Titles As She Returns From Royal Tour To Ireland


Having returned from her and Prince William’s official tour of Ireland when she went shopping for books in Kensington, Kate Middleton made her first appearance back in London.

The Duchess of Cambridge, 38, was spotted as she walked out of the Waterstones store near her Kensington Palace Home on Friday carrying a broad bag of books.

The mother-of-three had asked for background from Waterstones workers and children’s books with military themes. Kate chose a matching blue polo neck sweater and overcoat which she paired up on a gold chain with a pair of dark denim jeans, loafers and a black bag.

While she was holding the Waterstones-themed bag The Duchess was seen unlocking her own car door as she walked out of the busy roadway amongst crowds.

She has a genuine interest in young children’s development and this could have loaded up on books for her own children; Prince George, 6, Princess Charlotte, 4, and Prince Louis, 11 months old.

In January, she launched the early years development survey, which aims to spark a UK-wide conversation on raising the next generation. She revealed that 10,000 people had signed up in the first week of its launch.

Prince William recently revealed that his children are fans of Room On The Broom by Julia Donaldson. It tells the story of a friendly witch who is threatened by a dragon.

George and Charlotte recognize Harry Potter too. In BBC documentary Prince, Son and Heir: Charles at 70 in 2018, Kate announced that her husband reads the sequence of fantasies to them.

She said that their kids enjoy his reading Harry Potter and doing all the multiple voices. However, her public appearance comes just two days after she joined her husband the Duke of Cambridge during their three-day royal tour of Ireland at a special event in Tribeton, Galway.

The pair had embraced a clifftop walk, was shown how to play the Irish sport of hurling and met performers, youth and volunteers taking part in the Galway 2020 European Capital of Culture events this year.

Kate and Prince William have traveled to the family-owned traditional Irish pub Tig Coili in Galway during the final day of the Royal Ireland tour.

One of her much-loved designers, Alexander McQueen, recycled her bespoke military-style khaki coat which she wore on a January visit to Bradford.
