A golden labrador and brown pitbull made news this week with an adorable yet bizarre video of them going viral.
In rural Australia, a passerby noted the two sitting on lawn chairs, watching different cars and motorists buzz by.
The man got out of his car and took a video, posting the exchange on social media. In the video, both dogs, fully grown from the looks of it, appeared to be having a conversation. It was a very cute exchange, so undoubtedly, it went viral.
The video was re-shared around 80,000 times on Facebook. Local Australian news channels also covered the small yet endearing video.
In the video, the passerby, a white male around age 37, is heard saying, “What are you two on? I don’t know who you are, and who you belong to but why are you sitting on chairs like that?”
He said, “That scared the **** outta me.”
The video was posted on Monday. Many social media posts find the video funny and charming. One social media user posted, “Those dogs are up to something they have a plan to take over.”
Others got in on the joke, likening the dogs to masterminds, claiming their ‘creepy behavior’ was ‘alarming’. For example, one user stated, “Oooo both turned their head at the same time, creepy stuff.”
All in all, most are just perplexed at the sight, not knowing “what’s funnier, the dogs using the chairs or the owner placed them there just for them.”
Both labradors and Pitbulls are friendly dogs with lovable and easy-going temperaments. Pitbulls can be aggressive, especially if they’ve grown in an abusive or poor environment. However, they generally love humans and other animals.
Therefore, while it’s endearing to see a labrador and pitbull getting along, it’s not as surprising as people may think.
There’s definitely a story here. However, no one has tracked the dogs or their owner down. Currently, the video and its origins remain a mystery.
