The high schooler was building his father’s legacy, being a star athlete in his school’s basketball team.

James is 6’2 and the point guard of his school team.

Now, in the viral video, the 15-year-old appears to be smoking a blunt joint on his Instagram Story. Since then, the video has been removed from his accounts. However, screenshots have circulated social media sites.

Many people, including his fans and those of his father, have criticized the teen for not being a better role model. Fans of Lebron James have called out the teen for ‘embarrassing’ his father.

However, some people also defended the teen, claiming it is normal to smoke weed in high school these days. Their main defense is that James should not be criticized for doing something normal teenagers do all the time.

One fan tweeted, “Bronny ain’t doin nothin every rich teenager in Cali ain’t doin, but man, why he post that? I can’t imagine not having any freedom to be a teen on social media. Just because he is Lebron’s son doesn’t mean the man can’t live.”

Marijuana smoking, especially among young cohorts, has always been a divisive topic. While some view it as harmless, others think underage smoking and drinking encourages dangerous habits amongst teenagers.

Hopefully, Bronny James learns to be more careful with his recreational drug use from now on.
