Man Who Carried A Confederate Flag Into US Capitol And Many Others Are Identified And Arrested

On January 14, Kevin Seefried, who carried the confederate flag into the US Capitol, was arrested today in Delaware for unlawful entry.

After images of the then-unknown man were circulated online, the police urged the public for their help in identifying him.

Many others involved in last week’s riot have also been arrested after being identified from pictures taken during the incident.

The FBI has obtained 126,000 photo and video tips as of earlier this week, according to The New York Times.

Adam Johnson, 36, the man photographed stealing Nancy Pelosi’s lectern, was also arrested after he was identified from the photos taken at the riot.

Johnson has since been released from custody after signing a $25,000 signature bond and was released from prison on January 11.

As of January 12, more than 70 people had been arrested in relation to last week’s riot with Michael Sherwin, the acting U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia, and predicted that this number could end up in the hundreds.

Earlier this week, it was also reported that the FBI was pursuing at least 150 suspects in a nationwide manhunt.

While many of the arrested have been charged with unlawful entry, Sherwin said that prosecutors are looking at charging some rioters with sedition and conspiracy.

On January 13, two police officers were arrested in connection to the Capitol riot. Identified as Thomas Robertson and Jacob Fracker, the two men have been charged with knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building without lawful authority, as well as disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds.

Both officers work for the Rocky Mount Police Department but have since been placed on leave.
