In China, a mother discovered that her son’s bride is her long-lost daughter.
Many years ago, the woman and her daughter had been separated, reports said.
According to Times-News Now, the woman recognized her daughter by a birthmark on her hand on the wedding day.
The surprise reunion took place in Suzhou, Jiangsu province on March 31. The bride and her mother were seen crying and embracing one another on the day of the ceremony.
Despite that the son and the bride were siblings, the wedding ceremony continued and the couple exchanged their vows.
Before the ceremony, the woman revealed that her son was adopted, adding that she longed for a child after her daughter was gone missing.
After the shocking revelation, the woman then asked the bride’s ‘parents’ if their daughter was adopted. They were surprised by her question and admitted that the bride was indeed adopted after they found her by the roadside over 20 years ago.
This means the two were entirely unrelated to each other, and the wedding was carried out.
Times-News Now added that the bride described the moment of meeting her biological mother as ‘happier than the wedding day itself’.
