Republicans Demand Nancy Pelosi Pay $5000 For Breaking Her ‘Metal Detector’ Rules


Republicans want House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to pay $5000 for breaking her own metal detector rules.

According to media reports, GOP members were left feeling infuriated when the House Speaker forced two Republicans to each pay $5000 for breaking her newly set up metal detector rules. Now, Republican congressmen feel that’s it’s high time that she also pay the same fine after she broke her own rules on the 5th of February, 2021.

GOP members from the House Administration made the shocking tit for tat demands on Friday night. They believe Pelosi was spotted entering the renowned House Chamber without passing through any metal detectors. These metal detectors were set up upon her own orders, upon which the installation took place in January of this year.

The installations didn’t surprise many after the shocking Capitol Riots killed 5 people while leaving dozens injured.

Therefore, the Republicans issued a publicly written letter to the House where they clearly outlined the House speaker’s actions. They clearly specified the exact time and details of the event in the following words:

“Yesterday at about 9:59 am, several members noticed the House Speaker entering into the House Chamber, without completing the thorough process related to security screening.”

Hence, they went on demanding how Nanci Pelosi be treated like the other congressmen, facing fines. This was also posted on their Twitter account, alongside a copy of the letter too.

Earlier on Friday, the Post reported how Republican representatives Louie Gohmert and Andrew Clyde each had to pay $5000, which they termed as dramatic fines.point 248 |

It was reportedly taken away from their $174,000 salary.point 48 | Meanwhile, news reports also talked about how Gohmert felt the action was unfair and hence would appeal to the court for the actions carried out against him.point 179 | 1

Gohmert talked about how he usually always complies with the metal detector rules and regulations but didn’t on one specific occasion as he stepped out to use the toilet. Therefore, he feels that exception should be considered and the fine reversed immediately.
