The National Park Service is searching for volunteers to assist them in killing hundreds of bison at the Grand Canyon.
According to media reports, the agency is holding strong to the belief that reducing the herd’s size will actually protect the park’s ecosystem. Therefore, the NPS mentioned how volunteers are needed to carry out the mass killing for the species at the North Rim, which is located in the Grand Canyon National Park in Arizona.
The NPS has also posted a website where it mentioned how it required very skilled individuals to carry out the destruction for the mass removal of the species, in cooperation with the state’s Game and Fish Department.
The applications are now open to the public at about midnight on the 3rd of May, all the way until May 4th, confirmed reports.
In addition, an accompanying announcement was also made recently that detailed how the work, as well as the qualifications for the September 2021 job, would also come into effect. Moreover, the NPS also recently mentioned more details about both the work as well qualifications for the 2021 September job.

A total of 25 applicants in total would be selected from a massive pool, of which 12 would be chosen from a random lottery-themed system, mentioned reports. In the same way, those individuals who were selected would then be contacted personally by NPS by the 17th of May of this year.
While the park’s service employees are prohibited from the job, all applicants need to be US citizens and be of the age of 18 and above, complete with valid identification too.
