NY Attorney General’s Office Opens CRIMINAL Investigation Into Trump Organization


The New York Attorney General’s office has recently opened up a criminal investigation, alongside the Manhattan District Attorney of the Trump organization.

Recently, the Attorney General revealed how it was busy looking in-depth at the Trump Company’s tax records which possibly hinted towards fraud in a civil case. Moreover, on Tuesday night, the AG’s office revealed how the case had now reached such a point that it could be referred to as criminal.

In the same way. the office is searching for more potential evidence of criminal offenses, confirmed by local media outlets on Tuesday.

The office is reportedly being led by Letitia James. She headed the investigations for the company’s civil tax offense records, ever since the start of the year 2019. But now, she feels that the investigation has escalated to new heights.

A recent spokesperson from the office revealed the following, “We have been in contact with the Trump Organization where we have revealed to them how the investigation is no longer of a civil nature. Instead, we are actively investigating it with a criminal capacity.”

The notice was reportedly sent to the Trump organization in the latter days of April of this year, directly aimed at Donald Trump’s attorneys, as mentioned in the Washington Post.

An inside source told the paper how the term criminality would be applicable to all the actions by the current as well as former members of the company, including both employees and their executives if the investigation goes about finding any form of wrongdoing.

However, it is still not clear why both law enforcement companies are working together now, years after conducting their separate investigations in the past. Above all, partnerships between two different law enforcement companies in the state of New York are very rare, hence this seems to be an exception.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump reportedly calls these investigations politically motivated.
